In the gentle hatha classes we combine slow, non-linear movement with restful yoga postures. We sensitively soften and hydrate the deep tissues in order to rebalance the nervous system and release unnecessary tension. We practice close to the ground and invite the breath to flow freely. Birgitte will draw inspiration from Open Flow Yoga as well as from Yoga Somatics.
In the Vinyasa classes, we use continuous flows and free breathing to facilitate a deepening movement meditation. It´s a sensitive practice where strength and mobility are developed little by little in wave-like flows (ullola) with full muscular fupport for your joints. You will learn to move from deeply felt sensation, fitting postures to body rather than the other way around. Each class will introduce, clarify and apply a simple technique to make you more stable and comfortable in yoga posture practice. Birgittes Vinyasa classes draw heavily on the Dynamic Yoga with a sprinkle of Open Flow Yoga to introduce some non-linear release.
