Breath awareness is a first step to a truly meditative vinyasa practice. In this workshop you will be given the tools of free breathing and breath-body synchronization to allow fluidity, ease and meditation to become an intrinsic part of your practice. Rather than controlling the breath and fitting it to the pace of the teacher’s instruction, this workshop will start the other way around: From your own body – exactly as it breathes. We will begin in simple wave-like motions (ullola) where breath awareness is most easily accessed. Later we will enter into longer series of postures (vinyasa) where we play with transitions and explore the meditative effects of releasing the breath. The workshop lands in seated meditation, allowing you to discover the unity of breath, body and awareness.
