saravangasanShoulder inversions are often used as a brief cool-down toward the end of a yoga practice, usually limited to 2-3 of the most well-known variations. However, taking time to prepare for and explore the variations of shoulder inversions is a deeply nourishing practice in itself.

A gentle three-hour flow prepares you for shoulder inversions through the practice of chandra namaskar (moon salutation), activating and integrating the body for inversions while releasing the neck and shouders. The second part of the class will take us up on the shoulders to explore different variations. If you rachh the limit of your capacity Birgitte will help you find alternative postures. The class ends in relaxation and seated meditation.
