Yoga moves on…
How could it?
Yoga is never the same, yet yoga is always yoga. (Welcome to paradox!)
Standing on their shoulders, we are now witnessing the beginning of what could be the biggest transformation in modern postural yoga since the 1930ies. All over the world teachers are beginning to challenge the old paradigm of straight lines, intense stretching and static posturing.
To celebrate the creative transmission of yoga, I’ve created two new courses starting this autumn. Both address themes arising are at frontier of modern yoga right now.
The second course is “open flow yoga” and will be taught in Danish. Here we explore meditative and continuous movement, experimenting with letting movement patterns arise spontaneously from wisdom of the body. The course draws inspiration from from continuum movement and fascial flow. Wheras the spiral vinyasa feels more energizing and muscular, open flow yoga is a more meditative and calming practice.

3 kurser: Open Flow Yoga – meditation i bevægelse. (København)
Mærk kroppen og lad yogastillingerne folde sig ud derfra. På dette kursus udforsker vi kroppens evne til selv at handle på det du kan mærke. Flowet foregår i langsomme, meditative bølger der regulerer nervesystemet og fascierne (en del af dit bindevæv). Du lærer at kombinere tre nye bevægelsestyper: Bølger (undulation), svingninger (oscillation) og åbne flows (Fluktuation).
Kurset undervises på dansk. Det består af tre dele der kan bookes individuelt eller samlet.
Tid: Fredage 8.00-9.30

Intro: Tre bevægelsestyper
Kurset introducerer dig for de tre bevægelsestyper du møder i Open Flow Yoga. Åbent for alle uanset erfaring.

Open Flow Yoga:
Et fire-ugers kursus hvor vi kombinerer strukturerede sekvenser med meditative ”dyk” ned i det åbne flow. Kurset er åbent for dig der har prøvet yoga eller meditation og gerne vil lege med meditativ bevægelse.

Open Flow Restorativ:
Som vintermørket sænker sig bliver det lettere at vende opmærksomheden indad og finde meditationen i bevægelsen. Tre stressreducerende yogaklasser afbalancerer nervesystemet gennem arbejde med fascierne i bide flows. Kurset er åbent for dig der har prøvet yoga eller meditation og gerne vil lege med meditativ bevægelse. Velegnet til dig der har brug for næring og ro.

3 courses: The Spiral Vinyasa
The Spiral Vinyasa is a mindfully flowing yoga posture practice supporting you in moving with ease on the yoga ma as well as in daily life. The course teaches you a series of spiraling flows inviting a natural strength and tensional integrity (tensegrity). This organic type of yoga flow is inspired by developmental movements that your body know from the first 13 months of life. Week by week we develop a new embodied orientation your practice, taking you beyond the rectangular square of a yoga mat and into a moving, breathing, feeling world of movement. The spiral vinyasa is a gentle invitation to recover your body´s original strength, mobility and inherent delight. A course with lots of new inspiration if you love yoga in flow.
The course is taught in Danish or English as required. It consists of three parts that can be booked individually or together as you see fit.
Time: Mondays 15.15-16.45
Price for full course booked before august 28th: 1275 DKR
Intro: Moving in spirals:
Three classs introducing the building blocks of basic spiral movements. Open to all.
Dates: 28. August, 4, September and 11. September

Spiral Vinyasa level 1:
4-week course playing with the spirals i a continouus vinyasa flow. Open to all who like flow based yoga or other flowing movement and want to learn more.

Spiral Vinyasa level 2:
This 5-week course explores the meditative flow within spiral movements. Open to everyone who have participated in courses, workshops, retreats or yoga teacher training or the spiral vinyasa online course on Yogavivo with Birgitte
