  • Sensorisk Alignment (Venteliste! Ny dato 2. Feb. 2020)

Sensorisk Alignment (Venteliste! Ny dato 2. Feb. 2020)

    Pris: 785 kr

  • 30-timers uddannelse for yogalærere: Spiral Vinyasa

30-timers uddannelse for yogalærere: Spiral Vinyasa

    Modul I: 5-6. september 8.30-16.00

    Modul II: 3-4. oktober 8.30-16.00

  • 50 hour yoga teacher training: The role of the yoga teacher (Copenhagen)

50 hour yoga teacher training: The role of the yoga teacher (Copenhagen)

Life as a yoga teacher is a welcome to paradox: Our glowing passion for yoga can burn us out, our connection with students can leave us feeling lonely and isolated, our spiritual call to unity takes place within a highly divided and competitive market space and our skills in empowering our students can become a power-trip in itself.

This 50-hour course is for the trained yoga teacher who want to inquire deeper into psychological and social dynamics around their work. We will explore the psychology behind your role as a yoga teacher as well as the power dynamics entailed in taking on this role. Our focus is the teacher/student relationship and how it plays out in your own relationship to the people you teach and train with. A typical day involves:

    1) A talk addressing psychological and historical aspects affecting modern yoga communities

    2) A group enquiry using the Big Mind process to access the drives, resources and shadows that can support you in becoming more helpful to your students

    3) Short yoga posture practices, meditations or group exercises integrating, digesting and operationalizing what we learned during the day.

The training gives you tools to navigate with integrity from your own inner compass rather than receiving an expert guideline for how you should act as a teacher. The training is mainly process-work meaning we will be working with your lived experience with taking on the role of the yoga teacher and discuss the dynamics that you are currently puzzled by or need support to navigate. Our group enquiry will address the following themes:

-The teacher/student relationship as it plays out in your life

    -Healthy boundaries at work

-Power, hierarchy and cult-logic: The psychology of shadows in yoga

-Your own shadows and what they can teach you

-Navigating competition and the spiritual marketplace.

    -Group dynamics in your teaching.

-Loneliness, working life and creating networks of peer support.

-Inner exercises for circulating “prana” (vital life force energy) towards your root, hara, heart and crown.
-Asana and somatic movements for bringing awareness to the entire spine and enhancing awareness of its own natural energetic currents and fluid tides.

-Deep relaxation and healing breathing practices that attune your awareness towards the movements of your energetic body.

    The Teachers Retreat (Sold out)

Teaching yoga is a rewarding job in itself. It is also a job that takes a little extra. The originality and freshness of your teaching comes from the depth of your living practice. We are open for trained (and trainee) yoga teachers from all branches of the yoga family tree. The retreat is not a training in any particular approach to yoga. Instead, we will refine the way you translate the feeling intelligence of your own body into verbal instructions, finding your own voice.

You will receive 25 hours of teaching in 3,5 days, deepening your somatic understanding of yoga posture practice.

Pay by mobile pay 28892450 and write an email to info@dynamicyoga.dk  informing briefly about your training and teaching experience. Also name one area in your working life in which you feel the need for support.

    A typical day

Each day begins early with a quiet sitting followed by a long flow-based yoga class addressing the theme of the day. You will learn to activate your body in a way that supports feeling sensation as the compass for your practice (as oposed to learning fixed principles of alignment or traditional “full” postures). Birgitte will take you through a structured sequence of classes based on becoming a little more sensitive to the changes in sensation within you. This way of teaching is an invitation for you to access an intelligent response to what you can feel from the wisdom of your own body. Each day will sensitize specific joints of the body and invite you to listen deeply to what they have to say.

Afternoons will focus on somatic self-enquiry and/or refining your teaching skills. Guided experiments on the mat will help you explore the difference between “action” and “impact” in yoga postures to help you get clearer about how instructions could be more helpful for your students. You will be introduced to two levels of verbal instruction useful to promote safety, clarity and depth in your teaching. You will spend time in groups clarifying muscular actions and their impacts in the body and playing with layers of instruction.

Her 20 years of spiritual practice (14 of them teaching yoga) adds a rare depth and clarity to her work. Her workshops have inspired many students to let go of the need for external authority and allow the wisdom of their own body become the driving force in their practice. She has a nerdy and fun approach to exploring yoga practice and never ceases to learn from her body, her students, her colleagues and her teachers.  Originally trained as a psychologist (PhD) Birgitte has taught well over 5000 hours of yoga. In the past 2 years she has been in training with zen master Genpo Roshi to become a Big Mind Facilitator.

Please see detailed PDF document for full module program and content / practical details.

Simply by participating in this course, you will investigate how we can sensitively perceive and respond to others. The somatic communication skills learned in this part of the course are essential for those who wish to teach, and are very useful simply as human beings, in relation with one another in every moment.  By participating in this course, you will be part of an amazing experiment of ideas, energy and manifestations in motion.

  • Teaching from unity (For yoga teachers)

Teaching from unity (For yoga teachers)

Our commonsense understanding of the words “yoga” and “meditation” suggest that they are two separate things: One of the body and one of the mind. But as we go deeper into the practice either one, we find a deeper unity at their core.

A weekend workshop with special sessions for  yoga teachers. You will need to attend the whole weekend workshop “Asana as meditation – Meditaiton as asana”  in order to join the extra sessions for teachers. This is to ensure that you have an embodied understanding of the techniques we will be working with in the last session on sunday.

Saturday 9.00-9.40: Welcome and introductions (open to yoga teachers). What will be todays main teaching techniques? How to listen when you are a teacher/student attending a workshop.

Saturday 10.00-13.00: Asana as Meditation (open to all)
A dynamic yoga class exploring sensitive movement as  meditation in action.

Saturday 14.30-17.30: Meditation as Asana (open to all)
Alternations between seated meditation periods and supine yoga posture flows releasing tension.

Saturday 9.00-9.40: Being breathed (open to yoga teachers)

A few words abut todays main teaching technique (svaramukta). Q&A from yesterdays workshop from a teaching perspective.

Sunday 10.00-13.00: Breathing into stilness (open to all)
A dynamic, sensitive yoga posture flow releasing the free rythm of the breath (svaramukta). The class makes a seamless transiton to a seated meditation practice towards the end.

  • Workshop for yogalærere (Aarhus)

    Workshop for yogalærere (Aarhus)

  • The Teachers Retrerat (2 spaces left!)

The Teachers Retrerat (2 spaces left!)

Teaching yoga is a rewarding job in itself. It is also a job that takes a little extra. The originality and freshness of your teaching comes from the depth of your living practice. This retreat helps you find ways to teach from your body rather than from knowledge or belief. It is also an opportunity to get inspiration and peer support to help you thrive in your working life. We are open for trained (and trainee) yoga teachers from all branches of the yoga family tree. The retreat is not a training in any particular approach to yoga. Instead, we will refine the way you translate the feeling intelligence of your own body into verbal instructions. You will receive 35 hours of teaching in 5 days, deepening your somatic understanding of yoga posture practice.

The evenings focus on dialogue and reflection. Birgitte will use the Big Mind process (developed by Genpo Roshi) to facilitate a group dialogue. We will explore themes and dilemmas that comes up for you professionally and find resources to support you where you are. The evenings are structured gruup dialouges allowing you to tap into the wisdom already within you.

    Birgitte Gorm Hansen

Birgitte has been teaching workshops for yoga teachers for the past many years and have served as external examiner and guest teacher in several teacher trainings.
